What is the Witching Hour, you ask? In folklore, the witching hour or devil's hour, is a time of night that is associated with supernatural events, whereby witches, demons and ghosts are thought to appear and be at their most powerful. Definitions vary, and include the hour immediately after midnight, and the time between 12:00 am and 1:00 am.

It was at the stroke of midnight in Chance Harbor, Washington, Mystic Falls, Virginia, Beacon Hills, California, Ipswich, Massachusetts, New Orleans, Louisiana, and New York, New York. In each of these cities, witches were performing a spell at the stroke of midnight. Sure they are in different time zones, but somehow it combined the Ley Lines, blending them all into one. Beacon Hills may not have had witches, but the Ley Lines connected as it was a ripe vicinity for the Supernatural.

From 12:00 am to 1:00 am, it was as if time was repeating itself. The spell repeated itself for that hour, like a clock spinning round and round. Defying the laws of gravity and time, it warped into a new timeline, different landscape, and a totally different universe for them. The Ley Lines drew together with them meeting in the middle of the United States. In what should be Kansas, but in this other reality nothing was right.

None of the witches can remember doing a spell at the witching hour. The Sons of Ipswich can use their powers now without aging. The Secret Circle isn’t bound anymore, and they are stronger because of it. The werewolves that have landed here can change without pain, and have more of a level head. Though they still have to watch their anger. The Shadow Hunters more than have their work cut out for them though now with this new Ley Line being a powerful attraction for all kinds of demons! Something that all of them combined need to come together to defeat!
