- This is a limited access RPG site! What that means is that guests have very limited access to our boards. This is a roleplaying site, therefore, our members will have full access to our boards with their approved characters! Members may apply for a character by following the rules under the Joining tab of these rules.
- There is a zero tolerance of any harassment of other members or staff. If you do it, you will be banned immediately.
- Please only use one character per account. You may have more than one character, but please create separate accounts for each. You may have as many characters as you'd like, as long as you think you can handle them all!

- Create an account for each member using their first name! For example, Zevran Silverling's username will be zevran. The only exceptions to this rule are if you have an admin account (i.e. Angie is an admin account and her username is automatically set as admin and Cindie is another admin and her username is cindie) and if the name is already taken. Note: There are very few exceptions to this rule. If the username is taken already, use the character's first name followed by their last initial. You may also use name suffixes instead of a last inital (i.e. senior, junior, iii, etc). For example, Jordon Matheson Jr. has the username jordon, however, his father Jordon Matheson Sr. has the username jordonsr. Some characters may use their nickname as long as the nickname is a form of their name and only if they're called by that the majority of the time. For example, Andrew Matheson's username is drew, however Mareike Larson goes by Rei to just about everyone, however her username is mareike). Please do not hesitate to ask an Admin for any questions you may have. When in doubt, just ask!
- Using that character's account, post applications as a new thread on the "Character Application" board under the correct subboard. (For example, Shadow Hunter applications should go on the "Shadow Hunters Applications" subboard.) Please note that all canon characters should be posted on the subboard for where they come from. For example, Scott McCall will be posted on the "Teen Wolf Applications" subboard!
- Paste the application on the BBCode tab! Click here to see an image of where to paste if you need a visual.
- Fill out the application while on the BBCode tab. Do not switch to the Preview tab or it will throw the coding off! We created the coding to make it as simple as possible on where you input your character's information.
- Please fill out applications completely. If you need any help, do not be afraid to ask either Angie or Cindie ! We know coding can be daunting, and we know mistakes happen, but it's easier to fix something before it gets messed up!
- Do not alter the application template. When you copy the application code, make sure to paste the code in the BBCode reply box. You can do that by making sure to select the BBCode tab at the bottom of the posting box on the posting page before pasting the code into the box. Again, click here to see an image of where to paste if you need a visual.
- Applications should be filled out in 1st person format! You should use the terms I, me, and my throughout your application! For example:
Full Personality:I am normally a very even-tempered witch. I do, however, have my own breaking points and I can get quite angry. I am not afraid to use my intelligence and strive to do great things with my life. I don't have any tolerance to stupidity either. I'm very ambitious and have been since I've been very young. If there is an award, I at least attempt to earn it. If there's a top score made by someone else, I attempt to top it. I love a challenge, especially if it's related to academics. I suppose that's what makes me a perfect Ravenclaw and the perfect witch to be Head of Ravenclaw.- After you post an unfinished application, you will have one week to finish it.
- We require approval of your application, so once it is posted, please wait for it to be accepted before playing. Our board is now limited access, so you won't be able to make claims or start roleplaying until your character is approved.
- Applications that have messed up coding will be denied! The admins will not fix coding issues for you. If we notice the coding is wrong, we will let you know and give you a chance to fix it, but if you can not fix it within an appropriate timeframe, the application will be denied.

This is a step-by-step walkthrough of customizing your profile on the board.
Avatar Tab
- This image should be a square image. The height and width should be the same size. We prefer GIFs, but standard images are alright. Size will auto resize to fit to the correct size on the board.
- Click UPLOAD/LINK on the right side (under the image on the right) and either upload your image or link your image. If you link an image, try to make sure broken images do not happen! If an Admin sees a broken image, we will automatically remove it and send a message to find a new one before you continue to play. You may also upload to sites like Imgur or ask an Admin to upload an image you would like.
- Make sure you click "Save Avatar Changes" or it will not save.
Personal Tab
Note: All boxes are not required, but if you fill them all out, it looks better! We understand sometimes a box doesn't apply, however we try to keep the information as general as possible to fit all characters.
- Display Name should be changed to your characters full name (First Middle Last). For example, Drew's full name is Andrew Michael Matheson. Do not put a nickname!
- Gender may be left as is or you may opt to change it to the gender of your character. No matter how many characters you have, it will be what it is set to for each character separately.
- Location may be set to wherever your character is generally located at. For example, Marcus Callahan is the President of MACUSA and he spends a lot of his time there which is located in New York.
- Signature is something you can use to add to your posts with that character. This will be covered more on the SIGNATURES tab of the rules.
- Profile Header is the image at the top of your profile page. It is a very large image, but it will resize a bit, although it will distort to fit in the dimensions as well. The dimensions should be 1300x500.
- Large Avatar is the main image everyone sees for your posts. The dimensions should be about 250x450. The image will auto resize if you use a different size.
- Application is where you can post the link to your character's application. These links are required as all of these are required to fill out!
- Plotter is where you can post the link to your Plotter. These links are required as all of these are required to fill out!
- Tracker is where you can post the link to your Thread Tracker. These links are required as all of these are required to fill out!
- Want Ads is where you can post the link to your Want Ads for that character. You may have up to two Want Ads linked at one time! Leave blank if your character doesn't have any. These are the only links not required!
- Nicknames is where you list the nicknames for your character. For example, Mareike's nicknames are Rei and M, so she would list them like Rei, M. Leave blank if your character doesn't have any.
- Species is where you put the species of your character. For example, Mareike is a Human Witch, so she would put Human Witch. However, Scott McCall is a werewolf, so he would put Werewolf and Clary Fray is a Nephilim, so she would put Nephilim.
- Age is how old your character is.
- School Year is what year of school your character is attending. For example, Drew is a senior. However, if your character graduated, put Graduated or if your character dropped out, put Dropped Out, etc.
- Occupation is what your character does for a living. For example Marcus is the President of MACUSA, so he would put MACUSA President, but Drew is a student, so he would put Student.
- Played by is your name or nickname that you want to go by on the site and Discord. This is not your character's name!
Make sure you click Save Changes or your changes will not be saved.
Settings Tab
- Forum Theme is where you can choose which theme you'd like to see. The default is what it is originally set to when you view the site, even as a guest.
- Posting Default is how your posts show up when you click the reply button. Preview shows how it most likely will look once it's posted. BBCode shows the post with the coding. If you're not comfortable with coding, don't worry, the admins will gladly help walk you through it when it is required to use, such as posting a character application!
Note: If you use BBCode as your posting default, you will have an option to add a default code for all your posts that is handy to use if you like to use Posting Templates.
As always, make sure you click Save Changes or your changes will not be saved.
The other tabs aren't needed.

Signatures are things posted on the bottom of every one of your posts.
- If you use images, images should not be greater than 500x300 pixels.
- If an image is larger than that, it may be removed without warning by an admin. The limit is on there to prevent any distorted look to the forum as well as keeping page loading times down. Larger images may take longer to load.
Note: We will make exceptions to this rule at our own discretion. A rule of thumb, as long as it does not distort the board's layout, and/or look obnoxiously large, we'll generally leave it alone.- If you would like to use images, use the following code:

Please only use one image. If you would like to use more images, read about adding a marquee.- You may create a marquee with your signatures. We recommend this if you want more than one image as your signature as it makes the board look a bit more uniform and your posts don't become obnoxiously long for just a signature. You can do so by adding the following code:

Just add more image urls before the ending marquee code. To see an example, you can look at Admin Cindie's profile HERE!
We will give you creative freedom with your signatures and you can make them look like you would like, but if they become obnoxiously large where you have to scroll for a while just to get through your signature, we will remove it without warning.

This site uses two chats: Shoutbox and Discord.
The Shoutbox is used for quick messages, normally by an admin on what is going on or if someone has a quick question. You can find the Shoutbox on the sidebar.
The Discord server is the best way to contact an admin or interact with other players. You can join the discord by clicking RIGHT HERE.
The rules in all of our chats are:
- No attacking other players.
- No advertising.
- No spamming.
- No impersonating another member.
- If you break these rules, you may be banned temporarily or banned from the site altogether.

- Posts should be written in paragraph format, such as if you're writing an actual story. Please no script format posts.
- While playing, please use 3rd person format! You should use your character's name and the terms he, she, her, or his. For example:
Alvina looked over at her twin brother, Azure, with annoyance. He had interrupted what she was studying, but she couldn't be mad at him. It just wasn't in her nature. "It can't wait until I'm through with this chapter at least?" She asked him.- There isn't exactly a word count minimum, but please try to refrain from one line posts while roleplaying.
- No chat speak (i.e. LOL, ROFL, OMW, etc.) unless it's a text message from your character to another or something similar.
- Please try to use proper spelling and grammar. People will generally enjoy playing with someone that doesn't just use run on sentences and the text is easy to understand.
- Using different font colors is not allowed unless if you would like to use them for dialogue only! The only exception is for posting templates (see next rule). For example:
The students listened to Alvina explain about the Fwooper rune. At least she thought they looked as if they were listening. "So that is what this rune means. Any questions?" She ended her explanation.- You may use a template for your posts as long as they do not mess with the width of the board. We have a board for templates under Character Resources that are free to use as you see fit. Just please leave the credits, if any, on the template when using! However, you also may use your own posting template if you so choose.
- Violence and pregnancies are part of normal life, but please keep it believable.
- This site has a PG13 rating, meaning that sex, drugs, etc. is not allowed. If you use it, your post will be deleted without warning and a DM will be sent to notify you of it. You may post again, but if you continue to put forbidden content in, you will be banned. This is a three strikes and you're out rule! This is also due to Proboards terms and conditions, so this will be heavily enforced! If you must roleplay it out, take it off site to Google Docs, email, or a messenger with the other player.
- Absolutely no godmodding, unless you have permission. Only roleplay what your character is doing, and no one else. If you have permission to godmod, put a note at the bottom of your post stating that whatever player allowed you to do so for their character.
Note: This can be in the form of just adding the note under your post altogether or adding a note in the template you're using. There are many posting templates that have a Note added into them. As long as the note is there stating you have permission from who it was needed from, we'll ignore the godmodding of the post.

If you have a request for a signature or need help with a template, an admin will be happy to help. All you have to do is ask either Angie or Cindie . The easiest and quickest way to get a response is through the site's Discord.
If one can not help you, they will let the other know and get you squared away as quickly as possible!
Angie is better with finding images and knows quite a bit of coding.
Cindie is better with creating graphics (like signatures) and also knows how to code quite a bit.
There are different things that each admin is better at with coding, but between the two of them, most issues can be fixed to get things as closely as you'd like.
Note: This does not mean we will fix coding issues on templates already on the site (such as the character application). Those codes work as intended as long as you post them correctly on the BBCode and fill them out on the BBCode tab with only the information needed!
