Clarissa Adele Fairchild Clarissa "Clary" Adele Fairchild, also known as Clary Fray, is the Shadowhunter daughter of Jocelyn Fray and the notorious Valentine Morgenstern. @alex Alexander "Alec" Gideon Lightwood-Bane, or simply known as Alec Lightwood, is a Shadowhunter and the current Consul of the the Clave. He is the older brother of Isabelle and Max, as well as the adoptive brother and parabatai of Jace Herondale. Alec is one of the few openly gay Shadowhunters. Since queer Shadowhunters are normally shunned by the Clave, Alec was initially skeptical about coming out before eventually overcoming his worries and revealed his relationship with warlock Magnus Bane to his family, friends, and fellow Shadowhunters—an act that inspired other closeted Shadowhunters to come out about their sexuality, as well.
