Full Personality: •
I am stubborn, headstrong, fiery, and can be sarcastic. Traits born out of my mother’s over-protectiveness. I seem to be deeply intelligent too and creative. I keep a notepad of paper where I often draw out my emotions and feelings through pictures. It’s my version of a diary just using pictures instead of words. I’m a very caring and compassionate person. For my friends and family I’m willing to go to extreme lengths. Sometimes recklessly I have to admit believing it is worth dying for, thus putting myself in danger. Though unfortunately risking other people's lives too without thinking about it to carry forth a plan. Especially if it directly affects them.
This usually leaves the people who care for me extremely worried and exasperated. Jace has even stated that my stubbornness matches his, which he figures was the reason we could not stand each other when we had first met. This is partnered with me being clever and quick-thinking, which often saves myself, and others in dire situations. I’m definitely loyal to my mother and friends above all others.
Having not been raised with the typical Shadowhunter prejudice and rules, I am often at odds with the more traditional Shadowhunters in the Institute, like Alec and Lydia, over issues regarding mundanes and Downworlders, strict adherence to rules and protocol, and their generally self-centered culture. Unlike most Shadowhunters, who defend innocents out of a sense of duty, I do so without hesitation because I want to.

History
I was born to Valentine and Jocelyn Morgenstern on August 23, over a year after my older brother, Jonathan. My mother gave me the middle name "Adele" to honor her own mother.
Jocelyn had turned against Valentine's ideals months before my conception. During the time after Jonathan's birth, Jocelyn suffered depression because of her strange feelings of rejection towards him. Hoping to help Jocelyn, Valentine secretly gave her doses of the angel Ithuriel's blood, hoping to "cure" her depression, unaware that she was pregnant with me, therefore making me an "accidental" experiment.
Eventually, Jocelyn and her best friend Lucian Graymark began to plot to thwart Valentine's planned Uprising. Jocelyn, upon finding out that she was pregnant with me, had wanted to leave Valentine but feared that he would come after us and knew that he had to die to guarantee our safety. When the Uprising came and Jocelyn was able to steal the Cup from Valentine, they ran, but without my older brother as Valentine had made it look like the child died in a fire with him. Jocelyn wasn't confident about Valentine's death, however suspecting that he was only in hiding, and fled to Paris, and later New York City; ran from the Shadowhunter world and culture, away from her past, and raised me as a mundane.
Jocelyn hoped that I would have a blind Inner Eye, meaning I'd need to be trained like some Shadowhunters to see the Shadow World. When I was around two years old, however, Jocelyn found me playing with a faerie in the park, and she promptly took me to the warlock, Magnus Bane. There, she first also met Tessa Gray. Jocelyn asked Magnus to remove my Inner Eye, but this would have put me at risk, so they compromised with a spell that placed a block on my mind that would make me forget what I saw of the Shadow World even as I saw it, but the spell was complicated and needed to be recast every two years.
Jocelyn was also convinced by Magnus into letting me undergo the ritual performed on Shadowhunter children to protect them from demonic forces or influence. Tessa stood in for the Iron Sister, and for the needed Silent Brother, they were able to call on Brother Zachariah. We then took the surname "Fray"—a portmanteau of Fairchild and Gray, chosen as gratitude for Tessa, to honor her relationship with her ancestors.
When I was around five years old, Jocelyn's best friend Luke eventually found us in New York, and Jocelyn allowed him to be a staple part of our lives. I grew up with Luke as a father figure to me, led to believe that my real father was a deceased soldier named Jonathan Clark, and that the box in my mother's room with the initials J.C. were his.
I attended the mundane school St. Xavier's, close to our home in Park Slope, Brooklyn. When I was six years old and in kindergarten, I met Simon Lewis and the we grew to be inseparable. Almost every summer of my childhood, I, Jocelyn, Luke, and Simon went to Luke's farmhouse upstate. Simon slept over at our house, with Simon even sleeping on the same bed as me, often, and though things were purely platonic for us, Simon fell in love with me. Though most people around us knew, I remained oblivious to his feelings for me and only saw him as a best friend.
I inherited my mother's artistic skills. At one point, I joined an art group and began taking classes at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
I was unknowingly supposed to have another session with Magnus two years after the last, but Magnus had gone to Tanzania, however. So I went without the block for at least three weeks, and thus my Sight began to return.
One evening, I dragged Simon to the Pandemonium Club, where I encountered a group of Shadowhunters and saw them kill a boy, who turned out to be an Eidolon demon. When I had Simon call security, no one else, not even Simon, saw the Shadowhunters, until they slipped out undetected.
With Jocelyn worried about my Sight and potentially running into elements of the Shadow World, she informed me the following morning that we were going to spend the summer at Luke's farmhouse, infuriating me since I had my own plans, including my ongoing Tisch classes. I left with Simon without hearing Jocelyn's reasons. We went to Eric's poetry reading at the Java Jones, where I once again saw and immediately confronted Jace Wayland, one of the Shadowhunters from the night before. Jace told me of Shadowhunters and Downworlders, but before we could continue I finally answered Jocelyn's call. Jocelyn told me not to come home and instead to stay at Simon's and to call Luke to tell him that a particular someone had found her.
Against my mother's wishes, I frantically rushed over to our brownstone, nervous about the panic in my mother's voice and the strange noises I heard while on the phone with Jocelyn, to find our home trashed and my mom gone. I was then attacked by a Ravener demon. With the Sensor I mistook for a phone and took from Jace, I killed it but was poisoned in the process. To protect me from demons lurking outside our house, Jace Marked me and brought me to the New York Institute to heal, as Jace, still uncertain about what I was, feared what the rune might do to me.
At the Institute, I was introduced to its inhabitants: the other Shadowhunters that were with Jace at the Pandemonium Club, Isabelle and Alec Lightwood, and their tutor, Hodge Starkweather. I was told that I and one of my parents were likely Shadowhunters like them. Hodge told me a bit about Shadowhunters and informed me that I might be sent to the Silent Brothers.
I went back to the apartment and got some of my things, and saw the downstairs neighbor while I was there who told me to pick a tarot card. I chose one the ace of cups card. I found out there was a portal in the apartment and Jace and I went through it so I could find out where my mom would have gone if she would have escaped. Instead of getting caught not wanting to leave me behind. It took us to Luke's house who hadn't been answering my calls. He was in trouble, being confronted by two men who Jace said had killed his own father. We stumbled upon Simon lurking around there too. I overheard Luke tell the two men that he didn't care what happened to me and Jocelyn, and wouldn't get involved with Valentine's plans for us. I was stunned hearing this.
When we returned to the Institute, Hodge told me that my mother had been a member of the Circle and was the wife of its leader, Valentine, who plotted against the Clave and was believed to have been dead for years. Hodge told me bits about my mother's past. It was decided that I would need to be assessed by the Silent Brothers to help me retrieve my blocked memories. At the Silent City, they learned my memories of the Shadow World were being filtered and blocked from my mind. I saw the name of Magnus Bane, as a form of a signature on the spell on my mind left by the High Warlock of Brooklyn.
The Shadowhunters, along with Simon, proceeded to Magnus's home to ask him about the block on my mind. Though he initially denied responsibility, Magnus was forced to acknowledge it because of his signature. He then told us the true nature of the spell and that it was upon the request of Jocelyn. He told me that he would be unable to remove the block but that its effects were already fading and would be gone completely soon enough, but that my memories may gradually or may not come back to me.
On my birthday, Jace gave me my first witchlight, and we shared our first kiss in the Institute's greenhouse. We were unable to pursue a relationship due to our other friendships, particularly with Simon recently admitting his feelings for me, as well as Jace's parabatai Alec's disapproval of us.
Eventually, we discovered that Valentine was after the Mortal Cup, which Jocelyn hid when she ran away from the Shadow World. When I discovered that I could hide physical objects in drawings, I realized that my mother may have done the same with the cup. Remembering the Ace of Cups card in the tarot deck Jocelyn made for Madame Dorothea, we paid the charlatan a visit. Although we retrieved the Cup, Dorothea was possessed by Abaddon and battled the group, gravely injuring Alec, who was later saved by the warlock they met earlier, Magnus Bane.
To our surprise, Hodge, desperate to break his curse, betrayed us by summoning Valentine to the Institute and giving him the Cup and Jace. Luke defended me when he threatened to kill me.
Luke revealed himself to be a werewolf, and former Shadowhunter Lucian Graymark. He had been turning me away to protect me from the Circle members tailing him. Luke took leadership of the local lycanthrope pack to help look after me and search for my mother. With his pack, head over to Renwick's to rescue Jace and Jocelyn. During the confrontation, Valentine revealed that Jace was in fact his and Jocelyn's first child, Jonathan. Jace confirmed this as it was actually Valentine that raised him and made him believe that they were the Waylands. In the confusion, Valentine escaped through the ruin's Portal, taking the Cup with him. I managed to convince Jace, who wanted to go after Valentine, to turn his back on our father.
Fortunately, we were able to keep Jocelyn, albeit in her comatose state. Jocelyn was confined to Beth Israel Hospital, where Catarina Loss worked. Luke and I visited her every day. After the revelation that Jace and I were siblings we distanced ourselves from one another. I started seeing Simon even though Jace and I still harbored feelings for one another. Many things happened after this, but one of the main ones was that Simon was kidnapped by vampires and he eventually died becoming a vampire. We learned that Simon was then able to walk in the sunlight (because of the extra angel blood Jace possessed). I also learned I was able to draw new kinds of Runes that worked.
In the end we defeated my father and my mother came out of the acoma she had put herself into. She and Luke became engaged, but with everything happening after that their wedding kept getting put off. It was a while, before they were finally married. So now I have a stepfather, and things were going as good as they could till we found ourselves in some kind of a new reality. Not for sure how we got here. Nor do the others there. It had been like an earthquake that seemed to last forever. After that everything was different. We definitely weren't in New York any longer!

Jordan was grinning, and he started to say something, but got a weird look on his face as he was definitely thinking now. Images of the food were coming to mind, but he couldn’t for the life of him think of the names of the establishments the food was at. Now that he thought about it parts of it were blurry, but for the memory of the food and how it tasted. Thinking some more he let out a laugh. “Now that I think about it I can tell you the foods, but not the places.” He smirked as he chuckled a little more. “Cause we usually hit them after our pub run even though we eat a bunch while at the pub.” He was trying to piece together where they went after their pub run. He knew his wallet was usually empty the mornings after. The bar tab was only paid once a month so it hadn’t all been spent there either. “Well there is a Shepherd's pie to die for, at one of the places. Another has some excellent Applewood smoked BBQ Ribs. Oh there’s the lemon-herbed chicken that seems to melt in your mouth. There’s a sticky toffee pudding somewhere too that blows your mind.” He stopped to think some more about the food. “Josh always gets the steak and Kidney pie somewhere that’s in a bread bowl. I hate the kidney part though.” He admitted, but if it was something she liked. “Oh there’s Cornish pasties that are awesome, uhh somewhere too.” He furrowed his brow knowing they had to be here in Diagon Alley somewhere. He knew if he looked he’d recognize the place, but he still couldn’t think of the names of the places. “Hey you should join us for a pub night sometimes! Almost every one there is a Quidditch player or in the business of Quidditch. It’s not very well known in the community though to be honest. It’s been around for years though, cause my dad and his buddies used to hang out there. He’s the one who told us about it.” He grinned at her.
Jordan laughed hearing her and shook his head. He had more than his share of Quidditch things. He didn’t think he had better admit that though. Especially when he kept adding to it. Though the place where he and his brothers lived was more than big enough for it. Their friends were always crashing at their place. “Never know when something new might come in handy.” Was all he said to that. He grinned widely at her. “No definitely no lover. The youngest of the Matheson’s. Drew and Angel. Angel has her own Quidditch gear and clothes, but ours just seem to disappear and show up later with her either carrying it or wearing it. Since that’s been happening since she was little we are used to it now, and just replace it.” He shrugged since it was nothing new to him, and would probably still be happening when they were old and gray. “She’s not spoiled either. She works for what she gets the same as us boys. If she’s not thinking about Quidditch she has animals flocking to her.” He knew that could get a little overwhelming at times. He pointed over at the bookshelf in the far corner when she asked about the books. “There’s a whole section of books over there.” He grinned at her wondering if she had a one track mind when she came in here. He definitely didn’t. “Or you could come over and check out our library, and borrow some books.” He offered. He could spend hours in this store, and go back looking again seeing something he had missed the first time. Which sometimes wasn’t a good thing cause if it was something cool he’d pick it up for his siblings too. With how much he picked up he had bags full which was hard to get home then. Trying to apparate with that much stuff was unbearable. After losing some of his stuff one time he started taking the knight bus home.
“Follow me darling.” Jordan grinned when she asked about the gloves. He led her over to the gear section and pointed out the display of gloves that they had that was pretty impressive of the new brand Ollie’s Gloves. There were practically every color you could imagine there. “Ollie is a friend of mine. When he comes up with something new he has me and some others try his stuff out. After I try them out if they're good then I send whatever it is to Angel to try out at Hogwarts. If it’s not ready I let Ollie know for sure, and he works on it till he perfects it.” He explained to her. Sometimes it was a lot of fun trying out whatever Ollie came out. Other times it was disastrous. His brother Gregory had ended up at St Mungo's after one of those incidents. His mother had sent him more than one angry howler over that one. What was great was she had sent them to Ollie too telling him he better get his head on straight! “What’s awesome about these gloves too is that they come in one size, but they form to your hands after you put them on. So they are perfect then!” He said handing his items he had picked up to the clerk who came over to take them from him so he could pick up more if he wanted to. He hadn’t even noticed the girl checking him out and giving him a come hither smile.
